The Ancestral Sacred Valley Experience is a deeply immersive cultural journey designed for travelers who wish to connect authentically with living Andean culture by sharing a day with local families who are direct descendants of the Incas.
This tour takes us to the remote Patacancha Valley, a land of shepherds and traditional weavers where time seems to have stood still. Here, daily life remains closely connected to nature, the raising of alpacas, and ancestral rituals dedicated to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus, the sacred mountain spirits of the Andes.
The experience combines gentle walks through the Valley of the Alpacas, ancestral ceremonies, learning traditional weaving techniques, and the collective preparation of a Pachamanca, one of the most important gastronomic rituals of the Andean world.

Itinerary
Start: 08:30 a.m. – Pick-up in Ollantaytambo
09:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Transfer to Yanamayo Pass (approx. 4,300 m / 14,100 ft) followed by a gentle walk through the Valley of the Alpacas.
10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Visit to a local family.
Workshop on traditional Andean textiles (spinning and natural dyeing techniques).
Chuyacuy ceremony for the camelids and an offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth).
12:00 – 01:30 p.m.
Preparation and traditional Pachamanca lunch, a ceremonial Andean meal cooked with hot stones.
02:00 – 04:00 p.m.
Return to Ollantaytambo. Free time to explore the historic Inca town.
